I started this drawing in june and I finished it today (but I took a break in the middle)
the japanese kanji 芸 (gei) means "art", "technique", "craft", "performance".
besides, it is the first kanji of word 芸者 "geisha"(gei=art, sha= person) and of word 芸術 "geijutsu"(art in general) too.
the geisha is, in fact, a person who entertain people with her artistic performances (dancing, singing, play shamisen, tea ceremony etc.).
the most literal translation of geisha would be "artist" or "performing artist". they are very talented women
I did it with pencil, blue, black and red pens, pastels, and a blue trattopen.
